Why the masthead is not the web address

The site lives at a longer address than its name, and that is deliberate rather than an oversight.

The name on the door is Holdyard, and it is the name on the company, the quotes and the reservations. The web address was bought earlier and kept, because changing an address people have written down costs more than it saves. Nothing in the address describes the service, and this counter does not build any part of its writing on it. That is the whole explanation, and this is the only page that gives it.

What Holdyard is

Holdyard books parking and nothing else, as an independent service provider. No airline, hotel chain, government agency or other brand is affiliated with it. None endorses it. None sponsors it, and it owns and operates no lot of its own.

The service is one thing: a written quote, and a reservation placed on the strength of it. What is on offer sets it out in four parts, and the nine claims a parking site might make are on the same page with the honest mark against each.

Why it is arranged around answers

Because this counter owns nothing. No ground, no van, no attendant, no plow. A desk in that position has two choices: describe somebody else's ground as though it were its own, which is how most of this trade reads, or ask questions and print the answers with dates and attribution.

The second is smaller and it is checkable. So the site is a worksheet of eight questions, filed by who answers them, and two of the eight are filed under nobody. That page is the one to read if you want to know whether this counter is worth your time.

Who runs it

Marta Vosberg runs the counter and writes the quotes. The working method is on how a line gets confirmed, printed in full so that anybody who would rather spend the hour themselves can skip this counter entirely.

She is not a parking operator, has never been one, and holds no license of any kind in this trade. licensed_insured is marked not stated on the claims sheet and no license number appears anywhere on this site, in any form.

How it is paid

By a commission from the operator when a reservation placed through this counter is honored, and by nothing else.

No traveler pays this counter anything: not for a quote, not for a reservation, not for a change of dates, not for a cancellation. There is no card field anywhere on this site. No airline, hotel, agency or public body pays anything either, and none has been asked.

The conflict worth naming: this counter earns when a car is parked, and it also prints the two questions no operator will answer and lists every addition a lot may levy. Both are true. The reason the second does not lose to the first is that a quote which hides an addition produces one angry telephone call and no repeat customer, and a counter this small lives on the second visit.

Independence

No airline, hotel chain, government body, airport operator or transit authority is affiliated with Holdyard LLC, endorses it, or sponsors it. It holds no appointment, accreditation or authorization from any of them and has never applied for one. It names no operator on this site until a hold is placed, and it ranks none against another anywhere.
